I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 1995 when I was 14 years old. I suffered with pain, weight loss, nausea and vomiting. After being mis-diagnosed with appendicitis, stress, IBS and an eating disorder, I underwent several surgeries including several small bowel resections, strictureplasty, loop ileostomy (temporary) and end colostomy (permanent) with proctectomy. I am a breast cancer nurse specialist and mum and have a love for strength training!
