The IBD Registry Risk Tool

The UK team has worked at breakneck speed to develop an online tool for people with IBD. START HERE: ibdregistry.org.uk/covid-19

This takes no more than 5 minutes. It will tell you your risk grouping based on the British Society of Gastroenterology grid we published a week ago.
We have taken every care to ensure we respect your data privacy rights. The tool is fully GDPR compliant. The data will be stored by AIMES who are vastly experienced at providing secure storage of NHS clinical data.
We ask ALL people with IBD in the UK to complete the tool even if you already know your risk grouping. We are still in the early days in terms of what we know about the effect of IBD and IBD meds on COVID-19 and of COVID-19 on IBD. As we learn more we will be able to update you about your risk if you register on the tool. We can provide the latest advice during this time. Please help us to help you. Thanks to you.

A huge thank you to Dr Nick Kennedy who developed the tool, Dr Stuart Bloom for having the idea to develop it from the Registry and all the people at the UK IBD Registry (led by Liz Dobson), at the BSG (Cathryn Edwards and Ian Arnott) and at AIMES for making this possible in record time.

I am a gastroenterologist, scientist, geek, retired trumpeter and active ultra-trail runner. Investigating the causes and consequences of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. How do genetic, environmental and microbial factors affect lead to the development of Crohn's disease? The GEM project aims to find out and we have over 2 dozen sites recruiting across the UK. How do these factors affect disease flare in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis? We have set-up and recently launched the PREdiCCt study to find out. Recruiting people with IBD in clinical remission across the UK, PREdiCCt will aim to figure out how diet, lifestyle, the microbes in our guts and many other factors affect disease flare. We may then be able to ask the very simple questions, asked so ofter in our clinics "doctor, what should I eat" " what can I do".
