Seb Tucknott
CEO and co-founder
Seb has lived with ulcerative colitis since 2008 and in 2015 co-founded IBDrelief to improve the lives of people with inflammatory bowel disease.
He is a passionate advocate for people living with chronic conditions and involving patients in every part of healthcare and is responsible for overseeing the development and direction of IBDrelief. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Birmingham and is an experienced web developer. In 2007, after leaving university, he founded Brightsite, a web design and marketing agency.
Seb regularly speaks at events and conferences, mentors healthcare professionals and helps co-design IBD research.
Emily Bridges
COO and co-founder
Emily co-founded IBDrelief in 2015. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of IBDrelief, as well as taking a hands-on approach with the development of content and marketing strategy for the business and its clients.
Emily is an experienced communicator and leader having previously worked as a journalist, news editor, media relations officer, corporate communications manager and digital agency marketing manager.
Faye Spiller
Marketing assistant
Faye has worked in digital marketing since 2013 working within a variety of sectors and industries, including health and wellbeing, aviation and the Arts. She has a background in event management, editing and acquisitions.
Faye joined IBDrelief in 2019 creating social media posts, newsletters, copy and content.
Dr Rabia Lalani
Gastroenterologist
Rabia is a gastroenterology registrar working in the South London region and researcher at the Wingate Institute for Neurogastroenterology in East London.
Her interests lie in integrated care, merging conventional medicine with lifestyle and complementary therapies for gut health. She is a qualified yoga instructor offering private classes in central London and yearly yoga retreats.
Dr Rob Heuschkel
Consultant paediatric gastroenterologist, Cambridge University Hospitals
Qualified St Mary’s Medical School, London in 1990. I trained in paediatric gastroenterology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children, Hackney, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead with Professor John Walker-Smith. I then spent 14 months as Clinical Fellow in the Combined Program for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children’s, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in the US. I was appointed to my first consultant post in Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Royal Free Hospital in October 2000. I have published in peer-reviewed journals and continue to lecture at national and international meetings. I moved to Addenbrooke’s in January 2008 to develop a regional gastroenterology service for children in the East of England. I am Chair of the IBD Working Group for the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition (BSPGHAN), and Member of the GI Committee of our European specialty society (ESPGHAN).
